Coming home to Chicago to visit family is always so much fun and a much needed break. I try to shoot my sister in law and her family whenever I'm in town. We took these at the school my husband and his four siblings went to for elementary school, right down the block from where they live in Naperville, IL.
I offered to do a quick Christmas shoot for my neighbor's sister, who just happened to be visiting from the Bay area. As I was sitting in their kitchen using their wifi since mine was going to take 23 years to upload pics from a previous shoot, I overheard her sister talk about wanting Christmas pics. I generously offered to do them for her the morning I was flying out to Chicago with the family. We took these in no less than 10 minutes! It's a lot different shooting older ki
I got the chance to shoot my good friend's entire family. The last time I did their shoot, there were just three grandkids, and now there are five. We shot at Quail Hill in Irvine. Although the sun was high, we got some beautiful imagery as the sun was setting behind the hills.
I have been photographing this family since 2014. I love watching families grow like theirs. We took these images at the Irvine Regional Park, where half of the park was scorched by the fires. We found a nice, untouched spot and even though it was freezing first thing in the morning, we captured some sweet moments.
